Correction routes

Fix the first source and the copies lose the original they cite. TruthRanking prepares the right request for each place a claim lives.

Every route starts from the same case file: the claim quoted word for word, its first source, the verdict, the linked evidence, and a private, time-stamped capture of the page. Every route produces a draft. A person approves it before anything is sent.

Editorial correction request

A request to a publisher or author to correct a specific statement, with the evidence attached. This is often the best first step, because the copies lose the original they cite. See how to write a correction request a publisher is more likely to act on.

Public explanatory reply

A short, sourced reply placed next to the claim, for example under a post on your own page. It states the documented facts and links the evidence. It does not attack the person who posted.

Owned-site change package

Updates to your own website: a sourced FAQ, a dated timeline of permits and decisions, or an evidence page. When the accurate version exists in a clear, citable form, search engines and AI summaries have something better to cite.

Platform policy report

A report through the platform's own reporting channel, matched to the policy the content appears to violate. Platforms act on policy violations, not on disagreement, so the packet names the specific policy and the evidence.

Search and AI feedback package

Feedback to a search engine or AI answer, through the provider's feedback tools, when a result or summary repeats a contradicted claim. See what to do when an AI summary repeats a false claim.

Outdated result refresh

When a page has been corrected or removed but search still shows the old version, a refresh request asks the search engine, through its outdated-content tool where one exists, to update or drop the stale result.

Counsel review packet

For cases that may need a lawyer, TruthRanking assembles the full record for your attorney: the claim, the publication history, the evidence, and the captures with their SHA-256 fingerprints. TruthRanking does not give legal advice. Counsel decides whether a demand letter or other legal step is appropriate.
